MBTA Work at Sharon Station Nightly Through April 25

Project is to make station ADA compliant.

The MBTA is preparing Sharon Station to install new ADA Mini-High platforms for wheelchair access. To do this, the contractor is doing work in the evening hours to perform tests and work related to the installation.

The work does have to be done at night for safety reasons, after rush hour when train ridership is lighter and there is less train service.

These tests will be performed nightly until April 25.

MBTA officials want residents to know they understand how disruptive evening/night work can be to the area and in an effort to control the noise, they are taking extra measures to ensure they do just that.
