Merry is a "dang furriner", born and brought up in the far-away land called Pennsylvania. According to her (native New England) children, she still "talks funny" - putting "r's" in words where they belong, not adding them onto the ends of others. She married a Foxboro Townie in 1968, has two grown children (one a librarian, the other helps to manage the bookstore - Annie's Book Stop in Sharon - that she and her husband bought in 1987), and two handsome, talented, hockey-playing grandsons. She has, therefore, spent much of the past 16 years or so trying to figure out the rules for ice hockey and hopes someday to understand "offsides". She reads. All the time. With the store's 50,000 volumes as a backup TBR collection, she hopes to never run out of things to read.
