Sharon School Superintendent Provides Information on Talking About Newtown Tragedy

Sharon School Superintendent Tim Farmer posted an articles on the school website on how to talk about the Newtown tragedy.

The following message was posted on the Sharon School Department's website by superintendent Tim Farmer on Friday after learning of the shooting in Newtown. (Friday's) tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT is difficult to talk about and even harder to understand. As I'm sure you know, however, your children, our students, take many of their cues about local, regional, national, and world events from us. As a result, it is important for the adults in children's lives to be reasonable, reassuring, and truthful with children when discussing difficult issues.  Below please find a few suggestions, by age level, that parents/staff may want to use.
