The Oliver Ames girls' soccer team tied Sharon Thursday afternoon at Muscato Stadium, 1-1. Pam Grant scored with an assist to Allison Brennan in the 1st half for OA. Samantha Alves tied the game in 2nd half for Sharon. Playing strong defensivily for OA were Kelsey Bliss and Lexi Soucie. The Tigers are now 6-1-1.
Sharon advances to the Division 2 state tournament this weekend.

The Sharon girls U12 "A" soccer team ended the season by winning the Division 2 South Shore Soccer League Championship on Sunday. The championship qualifies Sharon for the Division 2 Massachusetts Tournament of Champions, in Lancaster from June 22 to June 24. Sharon will face league champions from all over the state. Sharon finished the regular season at 6-2 and was seeded fourth in the playoffs. Sharon outscored its opponents 15-0 over the four post-season games: 6-0 against one Easton team, 5-0 against a second Easton team, 3-0 against top-seed Rockland in the semifinals, and 1-0 against second-seed Raynham in the finals. The Sharon U14B3 team won the South Shore League Championship on Sunday afternoon, 1-0, over Weymouth. The Eagles entered the tournament as an underdog to top-seeded Weymouth, but went ahead late in the first half on a pass from Josh Gerson to Gautam Goel, who drilled the ball into the upper right corner of the net. Strong defense, and goaltending by Stephen Reilly and Dylan Williams, enabled the Eagles to hold off several furious Weymouth rushes at the end. Two Sharon High School varsity girls soccer players have been named Hockomock League All-Stars: senior captain and goalkeeper Jordan Greenberg and junior defender Samantha Alves. Alves, also named soccer captain for her senior year, was named an All-Star for the second time, Sharon head coach Jon Lavien said. She made the team her freshman year too. "Jordan and Alves are major reasons we made it to the state tournament," Lavien said.
