Food & Wine magazine has added Crescent Ridge to its online-only slideshow of the Best Ice Cream Spots in the U.S. Pond says a friend's e-mail alerted him to the news. "Food & Wine Magazine is a fantastic publication," Pond says. "That is quite an honor." Sharon selectmen are exploring beginning bus service between two Sharon sites and the Sharon MBTA commuter rail station. Transportation Advisory Board Chairman Art Stein recommended to selectmen Tuesday night that they contact the owners of Sharon Heights Plaza and the Crescent Ridge Dairy to "find out if they're receptive" to allowing Sharon resident-only commuter parking for this service. VIDEO: Busy Calendar Fills Sharon Residents' Sundae Dish

A car wash, a mushroom talk and a fundraiser at Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar help wrap up the final September weekend.

Sharon High School National Honor Society members held a car wash fundraiser in the school's main parking lot. The Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary hosted a mushroom talk and search led by mycologist Dr. Lawrence Millman, whose new book, "Fascinating Fungi of New England" was for sale, too. The Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar held a fundraiser for Sharon Ladder #1, the town's first fire truck. The proceeds from the sale of Crescent Ridge's new maple syrup sundae, which debuted Sunday, went toward buying the truck and its custom-made trailer. And the Sharon Historical Society held a house tour fundraiser (see …

The group pulled off a Zumba flash mob around 7:30 p.m. Crescent Ridge was their final stop of the evening, after having done the same trick at the Last Shot on Washington St. in Stoughton, and at the Striar YMCA outdoor pool area on Central St. in Stoughton before that. At Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar, kids of any age can enjoy an ice cold refreshment under the hot summer sun.
