Crescent Ridge Sales and Marketing Manager Brad Pond discovered this while reading his e-mail recently. Food & Wine magazine has added Crescent Ridge to its online-only slideshow of the Best Ice Cream Spots in the U.S. Pond says a friend's e-mail alerted him to the news. "Food & Wine Magazine is a fantastic publication," Pond says. "That is quite an honor." The slideshow notes Crescent Ridge's signature item as "Black Bear (red raspberry ice cream with chocolate chips and chocolate raspberry truffles)." Selectmen met with transportation advisory board Chairman Art Stein last Tuesday night.
Sharon selectmen are exploring beginning bus service between two Sharon sites and the Sharon MBTA commuter rail station. Transportation Advisory Board Chairman Art Stein recommended to selectmen Tuesday night that they contact the owners of Sharon Heights Plaza and the Crescent Ridge Dairy to "find out if they're receptive" to allowing Sharon resident-only commuter parking for this service. Stein also recommended Sharon do a financial study and determine how much seed money it could commit to the program. He said he's unsure how much seed money is necessary. A car wash, a mushroom talk and a fundraiser at Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar help wrap up the final September weekend.
Deciding how to spend the hot Sunday in Sharon was as hard as choosing a Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar ice cream flavor. Residents did that, too. Sharon High School National Honor Society members held a car wash fundraiser in the school's main parking lot. The Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary hosted a mushroom talk and search led by mycologist Dr. Lawrence Millman, whose new book, "Fascinating Fungi of New England" was for sale, too. The Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar held a fundraiser for Sharon Ladder #1, the town's first fire truck. The proceeds from the sale of Crescent Ridge's new maple syrup sundae, which debuted Sunday, went toward buying the truck and its custom-made trailer. And the Sharon Historical Society held a house tour fundraiser (see …

The Stoughton YMCA’s Zumba class organized a flash mob at three locations in the area: The YMCA and the Last Shot in Stoughton, and a grand finale at Crescent Ridge in Sharon.
With dozens of people waiting in line for ice cream at Crescent Ridge Friday evening, music suddenly started playing and Kathy Lyon, a Zumba instructor at the Stoughton YMCA, started dancing. One by one, she was joined by about 40 other people, who spent the next six minutes dancing away in the parking lot of the Sharon dairy bar, located just over the Stoughton/Sharon line on Bay Road. The group pulled off a Zumba flash mob around 7:30 p.m. Crescent Ridge was their final stop of the evening, after having done the same trick at the Last Shot on Washington St. in Stoughton, and at the Striar YMCA outdoor pool area on Central St. in Stoughton before that. The flash mob participants take a Zumba class at the Stoughton YMCA. Mary Coulter-…

At Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar, kids of any age can enjoy an ice cold refreshment under the hot summer sun. With over 40 homemade flavors and a kiddie-size ice cream that could be considered a large at most other establishments, kids love coming to Crescent Ridge. “It’s fun to try a new flavor,” says Haley, eating an Oreo ice cream cone. The ice cream isn’t the only reason that hundreds of kids flock to the counters daily. Younger ones love to watch the infamous white and black Crescent Ridge cows roam in the pasture near the stands. Considering that milk from these cows goes into Crescent Ridge ice cream, one can feel good about feeding their child locally-made ice cream. In addition to the cows, ponies and goats are raised on the same …
