Sharon Gets Small Parcel Near Sharon Commons
Site abuts land the town will get when first Sharon Commons building permits are issued.
Sharon has expanded its buffer zone near Sharon Commons by less than an acre. Tuesday night, selectmen accepted the deed to the small site, which the Vickery Corp. donated to Sharon. The conservation commission will get the adjacent upper pond at the former Morse Brothers cranberry bogs off South Main Street when Sharon Commons gets its first building permits, Conservation Administrator Gregory Meister said. The commission requested the selectmen's vote for that reason, Meister said Wednesday. The commission is scheduled to discuss the bogs at its next meeting, at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the Sharon Community Center. The agenda is here.
