Business Spotlight: The Halfway Cafe

The Halfway Cafe, located at in the Cobbs Corner Shopping Plaza right across the border in Canton, usually has some new great deal up its sleeve. Whether the "8 Meals for $8", Tasting Tuesdays or another 5K Road Race in June, the Halfway Cafe always comes up with something new and fun for customers. Sharon Patch sat down with Tom Cahillane, manager of the restaurant's nearby Cobbs Corner location to find out more about the restaurant and what the eatery was planning for St. Patrick's Day festivities this year. Your $25 fee will buy you one four to five inch round color paw print hanging of your cat or dog's paw print, complete with their name and the year. Schools are closed today in honor of Veterans Day.

1. Sharon schools and the town's library are closed today. How about going to Borderland State Park for a stroll around the beautiful grounds. Take a walk or a hike along one of the many trails and take some photos.  2. Ice Skating has already started at the Iorio Ice Skating Rink, in Walpole. Mark your calendars for Sept. 17, when Ceramics a la Carteand The Halfway Cafe located in The Village Shoppes, come together for another festive evening of painting your own pottery while enjoying complimentary appetizers provided by the Halfway Cafe. Cathy Walsh, owner of Ceramics a la Carte wanted to cross market with other businesses in the Village Shoppes. Walsh said, "To do things together made sense, I approached the Halfway Cafe in 2009 and asked if they would be interested in hosting a series of paint your own pottery events."
