Business Spotlight: Heidi Miller's School of Dance

The local school offers classes in ballet, tap and everything in between.

Heidi Miller's School of Dance is a place where dancers love to learn, have fun and receive the best dance education in the area. Classes at the school, which is located on the Sharon-Walpole line on Rte. 1, are kept small, with 10 or less students, so each can receive one-on-one attention in a positive environment. The staff and teachers love what they do and it shows in their classes and choreography. Patch sat down with Heidi Miller to find out everything about her dance studio which she opened in 2004. Patch: How long have you been involved with dance, and what is your background? Heidi Miller: I have been dancing for as long as anyone can remember. The Halfway Cafe, located at in the Cobbs Corner Shopping Plaza right across the border in Canton, usually has some new great deal up its sleeve. Whether the "8 Meals for $8", Tasting Tuesdays or another 5K Road Race in June, the Halfway Cafe always comes up with something new and fun for customers. The local business has been serving residents in the Sharon and Canton area since 1994.

Quill Travel, located right over the Sharon border in Canton, is our business spotlight this week. Patch spoke with owner Patricia Buresch about all aspects of the ever changing travel industry. Patch: How much did 9/11 impact the travel industry?   Quill Travel: Sept. 11 had a huge impact on the travel industry. Airlines and tour operators had to refund money to travellers because flights and tours were cancelled. People were afraid to travel for years following the attack. People travelled only if they had to for business. Amtrak's Acella Express became a more popular means of travel between Boston, New York and Washington.
