Suspect in Break-In at Sharon's Pizza Market Arraigned

Alexander Fotopoulos is ordered to stay away from the restaurant.

The suspect in Monday's early-morning break-in at Sharon's Pizza Market has been ordered to stay away from the Sharon Heights Shopping Plaza restaurant. Alexander Fotopoulos, 20, of 11 Mayflower Road, Holbrook pleaded not guilty to three counts of malicious destruction of property, and single counts of breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a felony and larceny over $250, during his arraignment Monday in Stoughton District Court, according to David Traub, spokesman for the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. Fotopoulos was held on $2,000 bail. His case was continued to May 15, Traub said today. Sharon Police Arrest 1 in Pizza Market Break-In

The suspect, a Holbrook man, faces arraignment in Stoughton District Court today.

Sharon Police say Pizza Market and its cash register were broken into overnight today, damaging the Sharon Heights Shopping Plaza shop and sending "money strewn about inside." Police arrested Alexander Fotopoulos, 20, of 11 Mayflower Road, Holbrook, inside the shop "without incident," police said in a press release today. The arrest happened after Sharon Police Officer Jeffrey Penders spotted damage to the rear of the building while patrolling at about 3:10 this morning, police said. Police determined the shop was broken into, and secured the area with help from Officer Andrew Pacino, Sgt. Donald Williams and several other agencies.
