Blizzard Forecast for Sharon This Weekend

We could see more than two feet of snow.

If you've been talking about what a calm winter we've had, you've spoken too soon. Just a couple days after the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of '78, New England is expected to get a blizzard. The Sharon area could see more than 2 feet of snow, the largest snow accumulation since 2010. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for most of eastern Massachusetts including Sharon, calling it a "potential historic winter storm". More Snow, Extreme Cold in Store for Sharon This Week

The National Weather Service is predicting low temperatures in the single digits.

A snowy end to the week could herald more wintery conditions for Sharon, according to the National Weather Service. The week kicked off with a wintry start, as several inches of snow landed on the area by Tuesday morning. While Tuesday night through Thursday are predicted to be clear, temperatures will climb only between 1 and 18 degrees. A chance of snow is predicted again for Friday and Saturday, with limited accumulation. According to the Center for Disease Control: When winter temperatures drop significantly below normal, staying warm and safe can become a challenge.
