Sweethearts Three's offerings include edible chocolate heart-shaped jigsaw puzzles.
Some visitors to Sharon's Sweethearts Three will convey their affection to their valentine in pieces. Edible chocolate hearts crafted into jigsaw puzzles are among the goodies the Pond Street chocolatier offers as Valentine's Day approaches on Tuesday. "It's four pieces of chocolate that spell out 'I love you' in the shape of a heart," says Jill Schwab, who runs the shop with her mother, Karen. "Sometimes, we sell them all put together, and other times we take them apart, since it's a puzzle and people want to put it together." "Because we're not located in a mall," Sweethearts Three sees "sort of spur of the moment, last-minute purchases for Valentine's Day," Schwab says. Handmade chocolates are the most popular, she says. The 60-member band performed several selections today.
A Valentine's Day-time tradition in Sharon wrapped up for 2012 today with a goodbye for now. The Sharon High School Concert Band received heartfelt applause after performing, as it has in recent years, during the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging's annual Valentine's Day party, in the Sharon Community Center ballroom. "I have two pieces of bad news," Sharon High Band Director Timothy McGee told the crowd after he and his 60 students took their bows. "The first is, the concert's over. The second piece of bad news is, the kids have to go back to school. "We enjoy being here. We trust we'll be back here again next year at this time, too." Music to the audience ears.
