The Halfway Cafe, located at in the Cobbs Corner Shopping Plaza right across the border in Canton, usually has some new great deal up its sleeve. Whether the "8 Meals for $8", Tasting Tuesdays or another 5K Road Race in June, the Halfway Cafe always comes up with something new and fun for customers. Mission Clothing, a unique and intimate boutique located in Canton, offers residents from the area contemporary women's clothing and accessories. "The goal of Mission is to give every customer who walks through the door, a personalized shopping experience," Owner Shoshanah Graupen said. "We are stylists and will help our customers put together the whole outfit from clothing to accessories." The Village Shoppes celebrated the holiday season with a holiday stroll.
On Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday De. 16 the Village Shoppes in Cobbs Corner, right on the border of Sharon, was the hub of a holiday stroll. The two-day event featured a hay ride, holiday songs by the Canton Community Theatre Group, steel drums provided by "The Xisles Drums", a hayride around the Cobbs Corner parking lot with Pat Mann and two large horses from the "Whispering Wind Farm" in Chepachet, Rhode Island and Santa Claus posing for photos with the kids. The stroll kept the parking lot filled and the stores over flowing with shoppers. The holiday spirit was truly in the air. Here are some photos from the event. The Haunted House at the Village Shoppes in Cobbs Corner will be open to residents from Sharon, Canton and elsewhere all weekend from 6-10 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28 the Mass Audubon's Moose Hill is celebrating its 30th year of its very popular Halloween Prowl. This annual event is experienced in a creative, non-scary, safe and educational manner. It is an enchanting evening with many delights including a barn filled with Jack-o'-lanterns. Discover the history of Halloween from a Druid and then encounter costumed characters performing nature skits as you are guided along a candle-lit trail. Halloween is just a few weeks away. How are you decorating for the holiday in Sharon? The Hidden Hotel, at the Village Shoppes in Cobbs Corner opened for guests over the weekend. It's said to be the scariest house experience in Massachusetts. It will be open every weekend through October. Have you picked up your pumpkins yet? How about corn stalks? Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon still has lots of pumpkins and fall flowering plants available. And what about a costume? Even if you're just opening the door for your trick-o-treaters, it makes it all the more fun to dress up yourself. Mark your calendars for Sept. 17, when Ceramics a la Carteand The Halfway Cafe located in The Village Shoppes, come together for another festive evening of painting your own pottery while enjoying complimentary appetizers provided by the Halfway Cafe. Mission is my favorite store. I don't like to look ordinary and Mission has something for everyone. The staff has dressed me for countless occasions right down to me texting them pics of my shoes in my closet so they could tell me which looks best! They have amazing style and personality.
