Editor's Note: The following was submitted to Sharon Patch by the Sharon High School swim team head coach, Jenn Iverson. The Sharon High School Swimming and Diving Team is looking to finish the season strong. Last week, the boys took wins over Foxborough and Oliver Ames. The girls beat Foxboro and lost a suspenseful meet against Oliver Ames by four points. Our meets against OA are always exciting and never a boring race. Friday's meet was nothing less. Our boys swam a strong meet taking first place in nine out of 11 events, and 1-2 finishes in six of those nine. On the girls side, we were just out-touched too many times. There were close races from one side of the pool to the other. The kids were into it and the atmosphere was never stale…

Editor's Note: The following was submitted to Sharon Patch by the Sharon High School swim team head coach, Jenn Iverson. Sharon High School Swimming & Diving has continued to improve their records with wins for the girls against Stoughton and Milford and the boys against Franklin, Stoughton and Milford. Tuesday night's meet against Milford was one of the most exciting meets we've had all season with lots of really close races. The girls won 92-78 and the boys 102-68. For the girls it was a come-from-behind victory, trailing by as much as 14 points until the final three races. We were out-touched in many of our first few races, loosing key points to second, third and fourth place finishes. The girls fought back though and started making …

Editor's Note: The following was submitted to Sharon Patch by the Sharon High School swim team head coach, Jenn Iverson. The swim team has really started the season out with a bang, both boys and girls winning their first two meets against Taunton and King Philip. The King Philip meet was certainly a highlight and really shined some light on how the rest of the season could go for us. King Philip is a strong team with some great swimmers and we went into the meet ready to race. The kids really pulled through and had some standout swims. On the girls side we started the meet off with our 200 medley relay team of Ally Dunlap, Tabitha May, Julia Cox and Alex Arnoff qualifying for states with a time of 2:06.80. Liza Krause had two state …

Editor's Note: The following was submitted to Sharon Patch by Sara Barbera, head coach of the Sharon Sea Eagles Swim Team. The Sharon Sea Eagles Swim Team continued its unbeaten streak with a win Saturday against Holbrook, 309 to 156. Due to the size of both teams, only three events were completed before the meet was called. Many swimmers contributed to the big win; the following swimmers won all three of their events: Nicky Wang (9&10 Boys), Eugene Oh (11&12 Boys) and Tabitha May (13&14 Girls). The following individuals narrowly missed sweeps, winning two of their three events: Alexis Maron (8&U Girls), Emily Zhou (11&12 Girls), Jason Hertz (13&14 Boys) and Christine Lahive (15&O Girls). Many personal bests were set, and the …

Eagles win both meets after final relay.
The Sharon High School boys and girls swimming teams swept Oliver Ames on Friday -- meets which both hinged on the final relay, Eagles head coach Jennifer Iverson said. Sharon won the girls meet, 99-89, and the boys meet, 85-84. The Eagles led the girls meet by six points, and the boys trailed by a point, entering the final relay, Iverson said. For the Sharon girls, the 200 medley team of senior Tana Bao, junior Carly Krause, freshman Liza Krause and sophomore Alex Arnoff finished in a state-qualifying 2:02.92 -- nearly three seconds better than its prior best, Iverson said. "We've now qualified all three relays for states, which is exciting since last year we didn't have any girls go to states," she said. Bao also qualified for the states…
