Sharon Eagles Finish Regular Season on Strong Note

Sharon girls finish the regular season 6-3, boys 9-0.

The following was submitted by Sharon High School swim head coach Jenn Iverson. Sharon swimming and diving finished their season up with meets against Hingham and Canton this week. Against Hingham, the girls won 99-83 and the boys 86-66. For their final dual meet, the girls lost to a strong Canton team 94-76 and the boys rounded out their undefeated season winning 99-63. The team is looking forward to an exciting post-season. The Hockamock Championship meet will be held in Milford this weekend and is sure to be action-packed, especially on the boys side as they look to hold on to their undefeated season. There is sure to be many great swims and hopefully more swimmers will be added to the list going to the sectional and state championships…

Sharon Swimmers Finish Regular Season With Victory Over Hingham

The final meet for the season is against Canton Wednesday at the Canton regional pool at 3 p.m.

Editor's Note: The following was submitted to Sharon Patch by the Sharon High School swim team head coach, Jenn Iverson.  Girls: Sharon 99, Hingham 83 Highlights: Liza Krause and Caroline Sun had a 1-2 finish in the 200 free with Caroline out-touching Hingham's swimmer and swimming a personal best time. Tabitha May won a close 200 IM race out-touching her opponent by .19 seconds.  We also had strong first place finishes from Alex Arnoff in the 50 free, Liza Krause in the 100 fly, Ally Dunlap in the 500 free and Tabitha May in the 100 breast. 100 breast swimmers Tabitha May, Carly Krause and Christine LaHive finished the meet up sweeping the Hingham swimmers with 1-2-3 finishes. Sharon Swimmers Continue Strong Season

Both squads have taken victories away from recent meets against Taunton and King Philip.

Editor's Note: The following was submitted to Sharon Patch by the Sharon High School swim team head coach, Jenn Iverson.  The swim team has really started the season out with a bang, both boys and girls winning their first two meets against Taunton and King Philip. The King Philip meet was certainly a highlight and really shined some light on how the rest of the season could go for us. King Philip is a strong team with some great swimmers and we went into the meet ready to race. The kids really pulled through and had some standout swims. On the girls side we started the meet off with our 200 medley relay team of Ally Dunlap, Tabitha May, Julia Cox and Alex Arnoff qualifying for states with a time of 2:06.80.
