Sharon attorney Paul Izzo discusses Tuesday's debate and what will be the focus in the closing days of the Presidential campaign.
In Tuesday night’s town hall debate, President Obama clearly raised his energy level. He was well prepared and made every effort to fire up the base of his party. Challenger Mitt Romney performed well also. It is clear now that the challenger’s strategy is to keep reminding voters that despite the President’s personal popularity, his economic policies have failed to energize the economy and make a serious dent in the nation’s unemployment ranks. At several points on Tuesday night, Romney made this case forcefully. I agree with Washington Post columnist George Will that it was the most entertaining presidential debate in history. I've seen them all, including the four Nixon-Kennedy face offs from 1960 (all of which are available on line) …
This is though a partnership with Project Childsafe.
The Sharon Police Department will provide free firearm safety locks to local residents through a partnership with Project ChildSafe, a nationwide firearms safety education program, according to Sharon Police. Free gun locks will be available at any time at the Police Department to any person who provides a valid pistol permit or Firearms Identification Card (FID). Up to three gun locks will be given to each resident. Project Childsafe is the nation's largest firearm safety education program. Editor's Note: The following was submitted by Sharon resident and parent Judy Heap. As a parent, I have tried to learn about creating a healthy environment in my home. I use an air-popper instead of the more convenient microwave popcorn. I used low-VOC paint in my son’s room and green cleaning products. I don’t use k-cups due to the environmental impact. I have a small organic garden, and got more organic vegetables from the moose hill CSA all summer. I pack my son’s lunch in small stainless steel containers, avoiding plastics, disposable containers and juice boxes. I have signed petitions to label GMOs and donated to environmental causes. I wrote to the school committee on Aug. 15, 2012 proposing a ban on staff and student use of perfume…
