Sharon Police Assisted With Marathon Bombing Response Crews

Three officers from the Sharon Police Department were deployed to Back Bay last week to help law enforcement after the blasts at the Boston Marathon.

Sharon Police were on hand last week to help authorities in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings.  The Sharon Police Department released the following statement Monday:  Three Sharon Police Officers were deployed to Boston last week to bolster and assist law enforcement activities since the Boston Marathon bombings. Those officers joined other officers assigned to the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council in various capacities including SWAT, Motorcycle Operations, and general assistance including during President Obama's visit. Sharon Police Looking for Church Vandals

Police are looking for individuals who spray-painted anti-Semitic messages on the doors of Victory Assembly of God church, among other damage.

The Sharon Police Department is looking for help in finding individuals responsible for damage and anti-Semitic messages painted at the Victory Assembly of God, according to a MyFoxBoston.com report. Several swastikas were discovered spray-painted on the doors of the church, and a rock had been thrown through one of the building's windows, Rev. Joe Green told MyFoxBoston.com. "There is an evil in the world we all know that and there's not a whole lot we can do about that," Green told Fox. "We just pick up the pieces and move forward." Police are asking for help in finding a vehicle or anything suspicious spotted on High Plain Street between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday night. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Sharon Police.

Sunday, April 7 1:58 a.m. - A Massachusetts motorist was stopped in the vicinity of East Street and Ames Street for operating an unlicensed motor vehicle. 8:46 a.m. - A radio was stolen from a parked school bus on High Plain Street. Monday, April 8 10:01 a.m. - Police arrested Mario Recinos, 21, of Attleboro, for driving with a suspended license, giving a false name to a police officer and speeding in the vicinity of Wolomolopoag Street and South Main Street in Sharon. 2:13 p.m. - Police arrested Darrell Rodney, 32, of Stoughton, on a warrant out of Brockton for two counts of attempted murder, according to police reports. Monday, April 1 6:35 p.m. - Sharon Police arrested Danielle Moriarty, 38, of Canton, after a two car accident on Rte. 1. Moriarty was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger and failure to stop. The ring was discovered near Sharon Center on Tuesday.

LoJack Safety Bracelets Available in Sharon for Elderly, Children

The new LoJack Safety Net devices are designed for people who may wander away from home, such as elderly citizens or children with special needs.

Editor's Note: The following information was provided by the Sharon Police Department. The Sharon Police Department wishes to let residents know of the availability of the Lojack Safety Net device. The device is basically a bracelet that tracks missing people like the elderly (such as those with Alzheimer's) and children with special needs (such as those with Autism). The device is specifically for people who tend to wander away from their homes and become lost. It gives the ability to track down and locate people in a very short period of time while hopefully keeping them out of harms way. Any Sharon resident who is interested in learning more about this program should contact Officer Andrew Pacino at 781-784-1586 for more information.

Sharon, Foxborough Police Arrest Local Woman After Housebreak

The incident occurred in Sharon in early March; the Foxborough resident was arrested on March 7, according to Sharon Police.

Editor's Note: The following was submitted by the Sharon Police Department. On March 2, 2013 at approximately 10:23 a.m., a Sharon resident reported his South Main Street residence had just been broken into and the suspect vehicle fled the area. While fleeing the area, this vehicle nearly struck the resident. He was on foot at the time and was not injured. He was able to obtain a description of the vehicle and both individuals who were involved. Sgt. Hugh Cameron, Officer Paul Hertzberg and Det. Kevin Bishop responded to the scene. The house was not entered but a rear door was damaged. Further investigation by Det. Bishop led to an arrest warrant for Laurabeth Digirolamo, 32, of Foxborough, charging her with the following attempt to commit…
