Sharon, who won the Hockomock League's Davenport Division, then beat Pembroke in the Division 3 playoffs, is now on the verge of bringing home their first Super Bowl title. In a defensive thriller, the Sharon High football team defeated Pembroke, 7-6, at Braintree High in the Division 3 playoffs.
The Sharon High football team is going to the Division 3 Super Bowl. The Eagles defeated Pembroke, 7-6, Tuesday night in the Division 3 playoffs at Braintree High and will now play Wayland in the Division 3 Super Bowl Saturday. Sharon High head coach Dave Morse said he heard it was going to be Bentley University at 10 a.m. "We're very happy with that," said Morse on WATD radio of going to the Super Bowl. While one of the fall sports teams is still playing, the winter teams started practice Monday for the upcoming season. FOOTBALL-The Eagles will be playing their first playoff game in the history of the program tonight at Braintree High against Pembroke in a 5:15 p.m. game. A recap of Thanksgiving football action in the Hockomock League.
If anything, Thanksgiving once again proved how exciting and unpredictable the Hockomock League can be. The League's two playoff teams both lost; Stoughton and Mansfield's long Thanksgiving win streaks were snapped, while Oliver Ames extended its streak; the King Philip/Franklin and Stoughton/Canton games came down to the wire, with the KP/Franklin game being decided in the final seconds, and with Stoughton/Canton being decided in overtime, and Foxborough orchestrated a second-half comeback vs. Mansfield. The other games were blowouts. Thanksgiving marked the end of the season for nine of the teams in the league, but Mansfield (Division 2) and Sharon (Division 3) will head to the postseason, playing in a semifinal game Tuesday night, …

If the Sharon High football team wins its playoff game against Pembroke, they will be playing the Eastern Mass. Division 3 Super Bowl at someplace other than Gillette Stadium.
If the Sharon High football team is able to beat Pembroke in the Division 3 playoffs, they won't be playing at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association announced the schedule at Gillette Stadium and the Eastern Mass. Division 3 Super Bowl will be played at other site. If the Eagles make it to the Super Bowl, they will be playing the winner of Wayland versus Holliston/Westwood.
