Obituary: Sharon Resident William F. Grant Dies at 89

Grant worked as a custodian for the Canton Public Schools until retirement. Services will be held Thursday morning in Canton and in Sharon.

William F. Grant, of Sharon, formerly of Canton, died Tuesday, April 9. He was 89 years old.  Grant was born in Norwood and grew up in Canton. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. and was the owner of “Johnson Cleaners” in Canton for more than 25 years. He later worked as a custodian for the Canton Public Schools until retirement. Devoted husband of Mary H. Grant (Johnson). Loving father of William F. Grant III and his wife Catherine of Canton and Plymouth N.H. William is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Longtime Sharon Resident Jean Coffey Dies at 75

Born in Roxbury and raised in Brookline, Coffey lived in Sharon for more than 50 years.

Jean F. Coffey (McGeown), 75, of Sharon passed away on Thursday, March 14 at the Epoch in Norton. Born in Roxbury, Coffey was raised in Brookline and attended St. Mary of the Assumption High School in Brookline. She has lived in Sharon for over 50 years and worked in the Sharon Tax Collectors Office for many years before retiring. Beloved wife of the late Bernard F. Mother of Maureen Jackman of New Hampshire, Donna Gordon of Newburyport, Gary Coffey of Norwell, Tracey Coffey of Wakefield, Stephen Coffey of Norton, Karyn Chipman of Stoughton and Brian Coffey of Quincy. William C. Reynolds, 69 of Sharon, passed away suddenly. Born and raised in Boston, Reynolds graduated from Dorchester High School and Newbury College. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked for Boston Gas for more than 41 years retiring from Key Span in 2008. He was the Past President of the Boston Gas Worker’s Union 12003 USW and Chairman and longtime Board member of the Energy Credit Union. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Ponkapoag Golf Club and he played in the Monday night Gas Company League at Strawberry Valley Golf Club. Born in Boston, Alderman-Brunette was raised in Westwood and graduated from Westwood High School. Catherine P. (Molloy) Crockett, age 88, of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 24 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Crockett. Born in Boston on May 22, 1924, Crockett was a loving daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Callahan) Molloy. A resident of Sharon for more than 50 years, she grew up and was educated in Cambridge.
