The Sharon Public Schools will be closed Monday because of Hurricane Sandy. Governor Deval Patrick asked that schools be closed in order to keep traffic off the roads during the storm. Foxborough Charter School, Southeastern Regional School, Norfolk Aggie, Xaverian and Bishop Feehan will also be closed Monday.

While Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole is strictly for commuters, there are 12 new residents living on campus on Friday. The school's purebread Yorkshire pig, Kate, gave birth to her first litter of piglets some time between 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6 and 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 7. Farm Manager Dave Green said that all of the piglets are in good health and that Kate is doing a great job taking care of her 12 newborns. In the coming days the piglets will be cleaned up, have their ears clipped be given shots.
