Season ticket holders were surprised this week with a recorded phone message from Patriots quarterback Tom Brady thanking them for their support this season. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick told media Monday he expects to return to the team in 2013.
One day after a crushing defeat in the AFC Championship Game, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked - after 37 years of NFL coaching experience – if he is energized to coach another season. “Yeah, I’ll be here,” Belichick said. “You’ll have to deal with me again next year. I know that’s disappointing for a lot of you. Until I’m told otherwise, I plan on being here.” Belichick’s confirmation in Monday’s end-of-season press conference at Gillette Stadium validates comments made by Patriots team president Jonathan Kraft last month on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Evening show host Adam Jones asked Kraft about the future of Bill Belichick amid speculation that offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could be in line to replace the …

The New England Patriots' season ended one game short of a Super Bowl appearance Sunday following a 28-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium.
It wasn’t supposed to end this way. The New England Patriots – and their nation of fans – were expecting a return trip to the Super Bowl but a porous second half in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium resulted in a 28-13 season-ending loss to the Baltimore Ravens. “Obviously a disappointing end to an overall pretty positive season,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said. “We just didn’t do enough things well enough to win. Give the Ravens credit; they’re a good football team. They just out-played us and out-coached us. They just made more plays than we did. That’s pretty much the story.” New England led 13-7 at halftime but was outscored – and outperformed – by the Ravens, 21-0 in the final 30 minutes behind three …
