Residents throughout the region have until Nov. 29 to view the work of Brigitte McArdle.
A local exhibit featuring the work of 89-year-old Sharon resident and artist Brigitte McArdle is nearing its close for the 2012 season. Featured at the Lakeside Gallery on Lake Massapoag in Sharon, the gallery, dubbed "Memories & Dreams", showcases McArdle's work - paintings and pictures on various themes. The exhibit will remain open until Thursday, Nov. 29. Hours run from 9-4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays to 8 p.m. and Friday to noon. Call 781-784-8000 for more information.

The works of Artist, Brigitte McArdle will be available as part of the gallery.
The Lakeside Gallery on Lake Massapoag in Sharon is getting ready to present "Memories & Dreams" showcasing the works of Artist Brigitte McArdle. The opening reception for "Memories and Dreams" will take place Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 7-9 p.m. at the Lakeside Gallery and will run through November 30, 2012. This is the first time McArdle will be exhibiting her extraordinary work. This would not be unusual since the gallery often exhibits the work of up and coming Sharon artists, but McArdle is 89 and has been painting since she was a young girl in Germany. The Lakeside Gallery's newest exhibit runs until Aug. 30.
Visitors to the Lakeside Gallery at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging on Thursday night reflected on echoes of a bygone era. "Echoes of a Bygone Era" is the gallery's newest exhibit, which opened Tuesday and runs until Aug. 30. The exhibit features 32 works by Sharon artists: 17 mixed media by Barbara Seligman, and 15 pieces in a variety of media by Liane Fisher. The gallery hosted a wine and cheese reception with the artists Thursday night. The opening reception for the Sharon Adult Center Photography Club's newest exhibit was tonight at the Lakeside Gallery.
A snapshot of the photographic talent among Sharon's seniors received its first significant public viewing tonight. An opening reception for the Sharon Adult Center Photography Club's Fourth Annual Photography Exhibit was held at the center's Lakeside Gallery. The show opened Tuesday and runs until noon Thursday, July 12. The exhibit features 36 pieces among 11 photographers. Some of the works are for sale.

One tour in Sharon on Wednesday night began with "Sailing on Lake Massapoag" and ended with "They Dance." Guests gathered for the opening reception for the Sharon Creative Arts Association's latest exhibit at the Lakeside Gallery at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging. The 51-piece exhibit of association members' pieces, in a variety of media, opened April 3 and runs until May 31. Lakeside Gallery hosts three artists' works though March 29.
Visitors to Sharon's Lakeside Gallery are seeing an early 20th century Virginia mill through three Sharon artists' eyes. And perhaps better appreciate their own surroundings. "Reflections," featuring 42 works among Sheila Pallay's photographs, Karen Gordon's watercolors and Vera Cross' watercolors and pastels, runs Feb. 14 through Thursday, March 29 at the Lakeside Gallery, at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging.
