A Sharon resident becomes part of Massachusetts State Police history today. Jonathan DeLuca is part of the largest Massachusetts State Police graduating class ever, a group that graduates at noon at Worcester's DCU Center, state police said in a press release. The 208-member 80th Recruit Training Troop is the first class to graduate from the State Police Academy since 2006, state police said. Gov. Deval Patrick secured funding for this 21-week program, which included classroom study, physical training, defensive tactics, and real-world law enforcement scenarios. The classes started in October.
