Sharon residents seeking to give a handmade holiday present should consider visiting Sharon seniors. The Craft Corner at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging features about 15 Sharon artists' work, says Doris Gladstone, a board member of the Friends of the Sharon Council on Aging. Occupying a display case near the Friends' Lakeside Gallery, the Craft Corner's hours are 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, and other hours by appointment. The corner also is open from 6 to 8 p.m. this Thursday. All pieces are made on consignment by Sharon artists, who receive 80 percent of the proceeds from selling their items, Gladstone says.
