Girl Scouts will begin selling Girl Scout cookies Friday, Dec. 7. If you can't wait until they deliver cookies in 2013, you can get your Thin Mints or Caramel deLites fix, at the nearest Girl Scout Cookie booth at the Bank of Easton, 12 Robert Dr. in Easton. To find a local booth sale, visit www.hergirlscouts.org and click on the “cookie locator” and enter your zip code. Cookies are $4 a box. The Eastern Massachusetts Council is selling cookies from now through March 12, 2013. Sharon has celebrated the Girl Scouts of the USA's 100th birthday by, figuratively, adding a second Girl Scout House this month. Sharon Girl Scout troops have visited the Sharon Historical Society museum, which has had Sharon Girl Scout artifacts displayed in tribute throughout March, which is national Girl Scout Month, historical society member Shirley Schofield says. "Sharon's first troop was organized in 1917. In Sharon today there are 11 troops," says Schofield, who, on Wednesday, addressed the latest scout troop to visit the High Street museum from the Sharon Girl Scout House, on Station Street near South Main Street.
