A limited number of tickets to the Jan. 20 AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Jan. 17.
For the ninth time in 20 playoff appearances, the New England Patriots are just one game from advancing to the Super Bowl. That game will be played at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. against the Baltimore Ravens. It is the second consecutive season the Patriots and Ravens will meet in the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium. Nearly 22,000 fans in the stands at Gillette Stadium pledged to be designated drivers during the 2012 season, ensuring families and friends a safe ride to and from Patriots games this season. If the Sharon High football team wins its playoff game against Pembroke, they will be playing the Eastern Mass. Division 3 Super Bowl at someplace other than Gillette Stadium.
If the Sharon High football team is able to beat Pembroke in the Division 3 playoffs, they won't be playing at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association announced the schedule at Gillette Stadium and the Eastern Mass. Division 3 Super Bowl will be played at other site. Senator Scott Brown has decided to not to attend Tuesday's debate with Elizabeth Warren at WGBH, because of Hurricane Sandy. The Mega Business Expo scheduled for Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Tuesday has been postponed until Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 3-7 p.m. The MBTA will be shutting down service at 2 p.m. The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette at 947 Park St., Attleboro, will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29.
