Sharon Resident Accepts Award on Behalf of Sports Radio WEEI
WEEI received the 2012 Global Lung Cancer Coalition Journalism Award for extensive coverage on awareness of the disease.
Earlier this week, Sharon resident Jason Wolfe accepted the 2012 Global Lung Cancer Coalition Journalism Award on behalf of Sports Radio WEEI 93.7 this week. Wolfe, Vice President of Programming and Operations for Entercom Boston, accepted the award at the Shine a Light on Lung Cancer Vigil in Boston on Tuesday, Nov. 13. WCVB News Anchor Heather Unruh emceed the event, while Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots did the honor of “flipping the switch”, turning the top of the Prudential building into a brilliant blue to shine a light on lung cancer throughout Boston.
