With the well-deserved honors the Eagles are receiving, Sharon High head football coach Dave Morse has been pretty busy since the season ended.
Dave Morse hasn't really had time to reflect on his Sharon High football team winning the Division 3 Super Bowl over Wayland Dec. 1. That's because in the 12 days since the final time clicked off the clock for the Eagles' first title, Morse has on a whirlwind tour. There have been the tasks of getting the team ready for the off season, preparing for the 2013 season and accepting all the honors that come with being a Super Bowl champion. "As soon as the season is over, we wanted to get into the weight room," he said. "We're also looking changing positions and organizing so we can get onto next year." The Eagles have had their team banquet, received all-stars honors, including Morse being named as the Boston Globe's Division 3 Coach of the …

A US Court of Appeals panel upheld a lower court ruling on the issue in which “Starbucks baristas challenged the Seattle coffee chain’s practice of requiring them to share tips with shift supervisors, according to a class-action lawsuit filed in 2008,” reported The Globe. The ruling reportedly affects about 11,000 baristas who worked in Starbucks between 2005 and 2001. Norwood's Starbucks location is at Route 1 and Dean St.

Taking the train during severe storms has become less of an option. The MBTA will cut 23 percent of its commuter rail schedule during severe weather, the Boston Globe reports today. "What we learned from last year is trying to maintain a full schedule will be difficult for us in a severe storm, both on subway and commuter rail," MBTA Acting General Manager Jonathan R. Davis told the Globe. The storm schedule is posted here. Sharon's commuter rail station is along the Providence-Stoughton line.

Good riddens to them. I can get $90.00 worth of groceries at Market basket rather than $43.00 at Shaws. They are very expensive. The quality of their food is sub standard. I've bought three loaves of bread from the one in Stoughton, and two days later they are full of mold. God forbid you go to the deli and ask for something while the employees are talking about their personal lives. They are not…   more ›
