Two Sharon Schools On MCAS/AYP Commended List
State releases spring 2011 MCAS scores.
State education officials have commended Sharon's East Elementary School and Sharon High School for high growth for two straight years, based on the spring 2011 Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System exams and federal Adequate Yearly Progress determinations. The Sharon schools were among 127 statewide receiving commendations Tuesday, when Gov. Deval Patrick and state education officials released the 2011 MCAS results at the Charlotte M. Murkland Elementary School in Lowell, according to a state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education press release.
