Sharon's annual town election was Tuesday.
The Sharon Public Library Board of Trustees kept a longtime member and added a newcomer Tuesday. Sharon's annual town election ended with Robert Levin earning a fourth three-year term on the library board. Levin received 642 of the 1,764 votes cast for trustee, according to unofficial results. Cheryl Weinstein also earned a three-year term. She received 621 votes, according to the unofficial results. Kirstin Gray was third with 499 votes, according to the unofficial results. Incumbent Amie Beth Saphire did not seek re-election. The election drew 1,245 voters, or 10.07 percent, of Sharon's registered voters to the Sharon High School polls. Sharon Patch expects to update this story later today.

Sharon Selectman Richard Powell withstood a write-in campaign to win re-election to a third three-year term Tuesday. According to unofficial results from Tuesday's annual election, Powell received 795 of the 1,187 votes cast for selectman at the Sharon High School polls. Sharon voters elected two new Sharon School Committee members and a new planning board member Tuesday. Veronica Wiseman and Kathleen Currul-Dykeman were unopposed at Sharon's annual town election for three-year terms on the school board. Robert Maidman was unopposed for a five-year term on the planning board. Incumbent school committee members Glenn Allen and Mitch Blaustein, and planning board member Susan Price, did not seek re-election. According to unofficial results Tuesday night, Wiseman received 824 votes, Currul-Dykeman 721 votes and Maidman 893 votes.
