Giacobbi, of Sharon died April 13, 2013, beloved son of the late Dominic and Philippa (Mento) Giacobbi and devoted brother of the late Angelina and Andrew J. Giacobbi. Mr. Giacobbi was an United States Army Air Force veteran. He was also the loving uncle of Dominic Giacobbi of Walpole, Rosemarie Walker of Bridgewater and Andrea Giacobbi of Norwood, great uncle of David and Jessica Kerr and Edward Lowie Jr. and great great uncle of Lillyanne Sophia Kerr. Bob Sondheim, the retired athletic director for the Sharon Public Schools entered into rest April 8, 2013 at the age of 63. He was the beloved husband of the late Celina (Kelley) Sondheim, devoted father of Andrew Sondheim and his wife, Krystle, of Sharon and Carrie Sondheim of Sharon. Loving brother of Arthur Sondheim III and his wife Monique of ME. Cherished uncle of Elizabeth Levesque and Arthur Sondheim IV and loving companion of Carol Abram of Sharon. Funeral services are private. There will be a memorial service in his honor on Friday April 12, at 4 p.m. at the Sharon High School auditorium, 181 Pond St. Bob was a man who touched many lives deeply through his friendships, coaching positions and volunteer work. Funeral services for Helen I. (Gachewicz) Statham will be held Friday.
(From Farley Funeral Home, Stoughton) Helen I. (Gachewicz) Statham, 95, of Sharon died April 1, peacefully at her home at age 95. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Statham. Born in Philadelphia PA, she was raised and educated in Canton, attending St. John's School graduating the Class of 1935. After high school she was employed at Plymouth Rubber in Canton where she met her husband, they married in 1935, where they made their home in Sharon ever since. A parishioner of St Johns the Evangelist Church in Canton, and Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon where she a member of the Women's Club. Preston Brown our dear beloved Father, Preston Brown, passed away peacefully on Friday March 22, 2013, at the VA. Hospital in Bay Pines Florida. Dad was the last remaining child of the Wilbur Herrick Brown, and Florence Goulding Brown family. Preceeding his departure, were his siblings: Kenneth H. Brown, Phyllis Brookfield, Gordon Brown, Carolyn Berchtold, Barbara H. MacLeod. Born in Sharon Mass, on Sept. 22, 1918, he lived 94.5 years to-the-day. Mary Ellen (McGrath) Mason age 70 years died in her Sharon, Massachusetts home on Thursday, March 21, 2013. Born in Northhampton, Massachusetts on January 30, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William and Ellen (Connery) McGrath. She graduated from the Howard School for Girls in East Bridgewater with the class of 1961 and went on to graduate from Boston State College with the class of 1968. She has been a resident of Sharon for the past 38 years, moving there from Canton and Hyde Park. Mrs. Mason was an elementary school teacher and a school librarian in the Boston Public Schools.
