It was great! The band was fantastic, but maybe a bit loud. I suggested to Ben that they turn itRead More down a notch and I think they did because it seemed a little less painful after that. Young vocalist Cecily Chace (Sp?) joined the band for a couple of tunes and wowed the crowd. The vendors were very generous with their food. The lines were very long, but the food kept coming. It was great catching up with old friends and interesting to see all the new faces in town.

We went to Square Jam this year as it has always been one of our favorite events. But similar to aRead More subject that came up last week there were a couple disappointments about it. Both my mom and I are disabled. She is in a wheelchair and I currently need to use a walker. We were late after being in Boston all day so got there at 6:00pm. We were very pleased to find a handicapped space right on North Main opposite Sweet Memories! That was where it being easy ended. There were no places to get the wheelchair or walker from sidewalk to street because of the setup. We both had to lift them, needless to say, much harder for mom than me. As far as getting near where the raffle tickets were sold we couldn't get near there nor did we see them. We had people trying to step in front of us in line in some cases because they didn't see us...we weren't near there eye level. Other do it because they figure they can get in front and be faster. We did manage to get a piece of pizza from Mangia, ice cream from Crescent Ridge and corn from Wards! And that was Thanks to the help of a friend of mine we met up there. We could not get near the sidewalks nor when we were leaving did we find an easy way out that there was a way to not have to struggle with the wheelchair or walker. While we still enjoyed the Square Jam it showed to us again that Sharon has a ways to go to becoming handicapped friendly!
