The Sharon High boys basketball team defeated Kelly-Rex foe King Philip, 63-54, on Tuesday night in Wrentham.
Head Coach Bruce Jackman said, “We played well for three-and-a-half periods. We played very well defensively.”
Leading the Eagles in scoring was senior captain Ian Beach, with 16. Senior forward Toby Modebelu and junior guard Brian Mukasa each tallied 15.
Sharon led by over 20 during the second half, but a late King Philip surge made the final margin tighter. “We kind of flattened out for the last half of the fourth period. It’s a win; we’ll take it,” Jackman said.
With the victory, the Eagles improved to 7-3 and notched their fourth Hockomock League win. Sharon carries their seven-game winning streak into a pivotal Davenport Division matchup with Milford on Friday night.
