Breakfast with Santa

The junior and senior classes at Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton will be jointly sponsoring Breakfast with Santa and would like to invite the public to support their efforts while having a festive, fun time! 

The breakfast will take place on Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. - noon at Blue Hills Regional, 800 Randolph Street, Canton.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door.  

To purchase a ticket in advance, please see a junior or senior class officer or feel free to contact faculty advisor to the Class of 2014 (seniors) Michelle Barley or faculty advisor to the Class of 2015 (juniors) Kacy Dotoli.  

Come out and support the students! Baskets will be assembled to raffle off at the end of the event. If you would like to donate items for this, or know of local businesses that would be willing to do the same, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Music with the Stars at Striar Hebrew Academy

Parents and children 18 months to 5 years old are invited to "Music with the Stars," a havdallah and music program on Saturday evening, December 14, 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The program will be held at the Yaakov Spellman Early Learning Center of Striar Hebrew Academy, located at 60 Ashcroft Road, Sharon. Musicians Elah and Misha Grandel, who teach the music program at the school, will lead everyone in interactive and entertaining musical evening.

Holiday Concert with Roy Scott Big Band

Capture the spirit of the holidays with the Roy Scott Big Band as they perform a joyful program featuring newer variations of familiar seasonal favorites on Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Sharon Middle School

The band will perform a jazz interpretation of Tchaikovsky's “The Nutcracker” in selections from "The Nutcracker Suite" by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. The band will also put a jazzy spin on “Baby It's Cold Outside”, “Feliz Navidad”, “Let It Snow” and “Winter Wonderland”. Vocalist Ruth Debrot will accompany the band for “Santa Baby”, “Jingle Bells” and “Christmas Time is Here”.

A reception with cookies and cocoa will follow the concert.

Advance tickets are available through the band's website and cost $12 for adults and $6 for seniors and students; $15 for adults and $9 for seniors and students at the door.

Open House at Everwood Day Camp

On Dec. 15 at 11 a.m., come see what all the buzz is about!  Join us for our next Open House.  Play games, create some crafts, meet our staff, and tour the property with one of our Directors! Even make a S'more!  Enrollment for the Summer of 2014 is open and groups are filling fast.  Enroll at the open house and receive a limited edition enrollment gift! 

Chamber Orchestra Concert at Sharon Middle School

on Dec. 15 at 4 p.m., the Sharon Community Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Michael Korn, will perform the Brahms Concerto for Violin and Cello in A minor, Op. 102, featuring Victor Romanul, violinist from the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Emmanuel Feldman, cellist on the faculty of the New England Conservatory of Music. 

Also on the program, Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 and the Sharon Community Youth Orchestra performing Schubert's Marche Militaire, and Fibich's Poem.

Assistance will be available to escort visually impaired and other patrons to their seats upon request. Reception following concert. Come mingle with the orchestra members and meet our guest soloists.
