This Weekend in Sharon: Downton Abbey Tea Party, Red Sox Announcer Dave O'Brien Speaks, and More

Downton Abbey Inspired Tea Party at the Sharon Public Library
Please join The Friends of the Sharon Public Library at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 for a Downton Abbey Inspired Tea Party. 

Enjoy refreshments inspired by the “Unofficial Downton Abbey Cookbook," see behind the scenes clips of actors talking about the series, and hear enticing hints about Season 4. The evening will be led by the Rhode Island PBS program manager.

Also planned are a trivia contest to test your knowledge of all things Downton Abbey, a raffle, and a book discussion.  For a list of suggested reading, please visit the library circulation desk.

Sports Breakfast featuring Boston Red Sox Radio Network and ESPN Sportscaster Dave O'Brien
Temple Israel of Sharon is pleased to announce that Boston Red Sox Radio Network and ESPN Sportscaster, Dave O'Brien, will be speaking at the Temple on Sunday, 
November 10th at 10am.  

The event, sponsored by the Temple Israel Brotherhood, is open to the public.  

O'Brien, a native of Quincy, has been a part of the Red Sox radio booth 
since the 2007 season. The versatile O'Brien has held a variety of
broadcasting play-by-play roles since arriving at ESPN in 2002, 
including Major League Baseball, college basketball and the NBA. He was 
also the voice of the 2006 World Cup on ABC. O'Brien will be speaking at a special Sports Breakfast.
