Monday Essentials: Water Rate Hearing, Wine and Paint, and More

Water Rate Hearing
The Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing to consider increasing the water rates at 8 p.m. at the Sharon Community Center. The selectmen will begin at 7 p.m.

Sharon Rec, Paint Nite, and 90+ Cellars Present Wine and Paint Night

Join Sharon Rec. for Wine and Paint night on Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sharon Community Center. In just about two hours, while you’re sipping on a glass of wine, our performing artists will guide you through each painting so that you come up with your own unique masterpiece at the end of the night that you will be amazed you created. We provide everything you will need: canvas, paints, brushes and even a smock. You just bring your fun loving friends and have a few glasses of wine to keep the sprits high and inhibitions to a minimum and we'll make sure your inner Picasso is unleashed!

*Must be over 21 to participate; ID's will be checked upon arrival*


Pediatric First Aid Class
Join Sharon Cooperative School at 29 North Main Street on Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. for a first aid class. This pediatric first aid class is a two year certification for caregivers, teachers and parents. The class costs $40.00 and is open to all. 

The class includes training on emergencies, choking, shock and trauma, burns and bone injuries, poisoning, bites and stings, heat and cold emergencies, illnesses and special conditions and child abuse and neglect.
