Celebrate the Fourth of July (and Road Race) in Sharon
Pow! It's the town's annual Independence Day celebration.
Sharon celebrates its Fourth of July on Thursday, July 3, this year, at Memorial Park Beach.
The events kick off at 4 p.m. with a bicycle and doll carriage parade, followed by the big lakeside celebration, starting at 4:30 p.m.
The lakeside celebration includes face painting, crafts, a karate exhibition, hands-on animal exhibits and rides from the Sunnrock 4-H Club, a food truck fair, hot dogs from the Boy Scouts, carnival games, train rides and slot car racing from Roaming Railroad, a climbing wall, live music from Pieces of Eight, a pie eating contest and finally, fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Note: Sharon's annual road race takes place on Sunday, June 29.
