"I think people from the community knew Father Bullock or heard of his efforts," he says.

About 375 runners and walkers, and about 50 kids, are expected Sunday, Warren says.

"I think we've tried to make it a family event, so that children can participate and then watch Mom or Dad participate in the run or walk," he says.

The Father Bullock race is among two local 5Ks on Sunday.

The Halfway Cafe 5K Road Race to benefit Cops for Kids With Cancer is at 10:30 a.m. at the Halfway Cafe at the Village Shoppes in Canton.

Anyone running in both races gets a free ticket in the Gronkowski jersey raffle by bringing their Halfway Cafe number to the Sharon race, Warren says.

A signed New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski jersey will be raffled this year.
