The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the 2013 Football All-Conference Teams as 11 members of the Assumption College football team have earned All-Conference recognition on either the First or Second Teams. Leading the way is junior defensive end Derrick Mann (Sharon,Mass./Sharon), who was named as the league's Defensive Lineman of the Year.
Mann, a First Team All-Conference selection as well, was one of six Hounds to earn a spot on the First Team. Tied for the team lead in interceptions with three, Mann becomes the first Assumption player to earn Defensive Lineman of the Year honors. He led the team with 11 tackles for loss for a total of 53 yards, including 5.5 sacks for 39 yards that tied him for the team lead in that category. In addition to the three picks, he added one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries. Mann ranks fifth in the league in tackles for loss and tied for second in total sacks.
