Sharon Pop Warner Flag Football Kicks Off 2012 Season
Sharon defeated Brockton in the first official game.

The 2012 Pop Warner Flag Season is underway.
After a spirited intersquad scrimmage, the first official game was away against Brockton on Saturday, Sept. 8. The 33 players were divided into two squads: Maroon and Gold, where the teams played two simultaneous games of 8 vs. 8.

The Maroon squad had strong running from Jared Kalmowitz, Bow Grier, Matthew Lally, and Brian O’Neill, smart quarterback play from Tyler Brewington, Adam Lessard, and Reid Neirman, and terrific defense from Ben Grabie, Luke Meixel, Ryan Brown, Andrew Kates, and Michael Hoffman led the Maroon Eagles over the Boxers 28-14.
The highlight of the Gold game featured a 10 yard touchdown pass from Jake Kaufman to Jack Glassman. Strong quarterback play from Cole Hitter along with great running from Liam Grabie, Zachary Connors and Jaden Segal.

Strong offensive line play from Drew Yaffe, Sam Letendre, Rhys Davis and Matthew Harsfield along with great defensive play from Ronan Widland, Rory Gallagher-Wagner, Sam Rothbaum and Tommy Farkas led the Gold Eagles over the Boxers 28-14.
The next flag game will be Sunday, Sept. 16 against Attleboro.
