Sharon Football Can't Hold Lead Against Scituate

For a second it appeared that the Sharon Eagles were going pick up where they left off last year in their opener at Scituate. Despite an early lead, the Eagles fell to Scituate 20-14.

A wild start to the game saw Evantz Elisma return the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown but three plays later, Scituate responded with 2-yard rush by QB Christian Brady to tie the game.

The Eagles took a 14-7 lead into halftime after Sean O'Neal converting on a QB sneak.

The second half however, was all Scituate with running back Dawayne Kirton scoring two touchdowns to put Eagles behind by six.

Sharon returns to action on Sept. 21 with their home opener against Cardinal Spellman.
