Sharon Championship Eagles Honored at Massachusetts State House

Several local and state officials welcomed the team and Head Coach Dave Morse last week.

State Rep. Louis L. Kafka (D-Stoughton), along with his colleagues Sen. James E. Timilty (D-Walpole) and Brian A. Joyce (D-Milton), welcomed the Division Three Eastern Massachusetts Super Bowl Champion Sharon High Eagles Football Team to the State House on Thursday, Feb. 7. The Eagles were given a tour of the State House before posing for a picture on the Grand Staircase. 

“I’m glad we could have the team up here to be recognized by the Legislature,” said Kafka in a statement. “These young men stirred up an exceptional amount of community pride through their achievements, both on and off the field.”

Added Timilty in a statement, “This was a historic accomplishment for the Sharon High School football program, and the future looks very bright for this team under the leadership of Coach Morse."

The team was also presented with congratulatory resolutions and citations recognizing their many accomplishments this season.
