Students to Wear All Maroon at Sharon High School Graduation This Year

Seniors voted in favor of the decision, which was raised by the school's Gay-Straight alliance.

There will be a change of color for students graduating from Sharon High School this year.

Traditionally, students have worn white and maroon gowns at graduation in Sharon, but student officers said this week they decided to make all of the graduation gowns maroon so that all students could feel included in the ceremony, according to MyFoxBoston

Class officers and representatives from the school's Gay-Straight alliance raised the issue of wearing all one color, which eventually led to the change, with seniors voting on the color at the school this week, according to the report.
