Sharon School District Named 14th Best in State

The Sharon Public Schools have been ranked the 14th best in the Boston Magazine Best Schools list.

According to the magazine, Sharon High School has the fifth highest percentage of students achieving proficiency (scores 3-5) on AP Exams in the state.


Other statistics from the magazine include:
  • Graduation Rate: 95.1 percent
  • Percent going to college – 90.3 percent
  • Per pupil expenditures -- $14,151
  • Percentage scoring 3-5 on AP exams – 95.7 percent

According to the magazine:

“To assemble this year’s Best Schools list, we spent months compiling numbers—released by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education—from 147 municipalities in Greater Boston.

"The schools in the cities and towns that topped our proprietary ranking stood out across 20 different categories, including student-to-teacher ratio, average class size, expenditures per pupil, rate of college matriculation, and results on tests such as the SAT and the MCAS.”
