Sharon Girls Swimmers Record Two State Qualifying Times
Eagles' swim teams split against Franklin.
The recorded two state meet qualifying times and defeated Franklin, 98-67, Tuesday night at Randolph High School.
The visiting Panthers won the meet, 92-78, Eagles head coach Jennifer Iverson said.
The Sharon girls' 200 free relay team won its event in 1:52.31 minutes, qualifying for the state meet, Iverson said.

Senior Tana Bao qualified for the state meet in the 100 breast (1:15.28), she said.
"We didn't have any girls go to states last year, so this is very exciting for us," Iverson said.

The Eagles also got wins Tuesday from: the 200 medley relay team of Bao, junior Carly Krause, freshman Liza Krause and sophomore Alex Arnoff (2:05.88); Liza Krause, in both the 200 free (2:14.89) and the 100 fly (1:09.08); Arnoff, in the 50 free (27.71) and sophomore Julia Cox, in the 100 free (1:05.39).
In the boys meet, Eagles sophomore Eoghan Daly won the 100 fly with a time of 59.08 and qualified for sectionals in the 100 back with a time of 1:00.52, Iverson said.
The 200 free relay of junior co-captains Will Sweet and Nickie Cheung, Daly and junior Dan Griffin won with a time of 1:41.76.
Sharon also got best times from sophomore Coby Mayhew in the 100 free (1:01.32) and junior Dan Aspenwall in the 500 free, Iverson said.
Sharon next swims at 5 p.m. Wednesday against visiting Canton at Randolph.
