Huge Birthday Party Promotes Mixing it up at Sharon High School

By Bonnie Klane

With the lunchroom at Sharon High School decorated with colorful  bunches of balloons, and the SHS Radio Station providing terrific background music,  a party like atmosphere prevailed at the annual "SHS Mix It Up At Lunch Day" on Wednesday, December 18th. Students at Sharon High School   mixed it up during lunches  by sitting at their birthday month table with others who share their birthday.  Everyone enjoyed  meeting new people and culinary treats.

Students, staff and administration  volunteered their time and energy to ensure the success of this event which encourages students to  take a different seat at lunch and make a new friend.   The Sharon High School TV Media class raised awareness of the importance of "Mixing It Up" by creating videos which were shown as part of the school's daily announcements.  For the days preceding the event,  the hall  TV monitors promoted Mix It Up Day as well.
