Sharon Recreation Director Resigns

Recreation Advisory Committee introducing interim director next week.

Sharon Recreation Director Brett MacGowan has resigned, ending just over four years in the post, Recreation Advisory Committee Chairman Gary Bluestein said today.

Bluestein referred Sharon Patch to Town Administrator Benjamin Puritz for details. Puritz is away, handling a personal matter, town officials said.

Assistant Recreation Director Amanda Deni will serve as interim director until a new director is hired, Bluestein said.

The Recreation Advisory Committee plans to introduce the interim director at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at the , according to the agenda posted at the . The Sharon Recreation Department offices are in the community center.

MacGowan began his fifth year in Sharon in June, Bluestein said. MacGown succeeded Marshall Bradshaw.
