Letter to the Editor: Voting on Sharon Warrant Article 10

Editor's Note: The following letter was submitted to Sharon Patch by Sara Brady of MassVOTE.

Massachusetts is now leading the charge to overturn the 2010 Citizens United decision. To date, 73 Massachusetts cities and towns have passed local resolutions calling on the U.S. Congress to pass a Constitutional Amendment to address the unbalanced influence of corporate money in our elections. Sharon could become the 74th with your vote!

Sharon's local resolution is going to be put to a vote at their Special Town Meeting on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at Sharon High School auditorium.

At recent town meeting in another Massachusetts community, the first vote on a similar resolution resulted in a tie and then was defeated on the second vote; if one more "yes" voter had attended, it would have changed the defeat to a victory. So please attend the town meeting to vote for the resolution, as every vote counts.
