Kafka Seeking Another Term

Campaign kickoff reception planned for March 27 in Sharon.

Longtime state Rep. Louis Kafka (D-Stoughton) will seek re-election to the Eighth Norfolk District seat in November.

The alumnus and former Sharon Recreation Committee member announced his plans in a press release today. He has served in the House since 1991.

The Kafka Committee will host a campaign kickoff reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 at . Tickets are $25.

"I still enjoy the work very much; between new legislative challenges and constantly tackling constituent service cases, it is both stimulating and fulfilling," said Kafka, who chairs the House Committee on Steering, Policy and Scheduling.

"There's finally some light at the end of the tunnel economically, and I look forward to helping ensure that the Legislature does whatever it can to assist in bringing the Commonwealth back to a healthy fiscal climate for its citizens."
