How to Register to Vote in Sharon

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, we’re giving you all the information you need on how and where to register to vote.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.

Today, Tuesday, Sept. 25, is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections.

Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.

The voter registration deadline for Massachusetts is Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Here’s information on how Sharon residents can register in time for the Nov. 6 elections:

  • Download a voter registration form from the Secretary of State William F. Galvin's website and mail it to:
    • Sharon Town Clerk's Office
      90 South Main St.
      Sharon, MA 02067
  • Visit the Sharon Town Clerk's office to register in person. The Town Clerk's office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17 for voter registration.
  • Mail-in voter registration forms are also available at the Sharon Public Library and at the Sharon Post Office. All mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by October 17, 2012.
  • If you have any questions, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 781-784-1500, ext. 1201.
