Sharon Resident Arrested for Breaking and Entering, Other Charges

The following information was provided by the Sharon Police Department. Arrests mentioned do not indicate conviction.

The following statement was released by the  on the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 23.

After a lengthy investigation by Sharon Police Detective Kevin Bishop, a local resident was arrested on Aug. 16 and faces multiple charges.

The male, Alexander Fotopoulos, 21, of Sharon, was arrested on the following charges:

  • Breaking and Entering Daytime with Intent to Commit a Felony, Larceny of Property over $250, Malicious Damage to Property. This was a break into a neighboring apartment on Pond Street on Jan. 14, 2012.
  • Breaking and Entering Daytime with Intent to Commit a Felony, Larceny of Property over $250. This was also a break into a neighboring apartment on Pond Street on Jan. 27, 2012.
  • Breaking and Entering Daytime with Intent to Commit a Felony, Malicious Damage to Property. This was for breaking into an office, damage to storage bins, theft from washer/dryer coin dispensers located inside a Pond Street apartment complex during the week of Aug. 20, 2012.
Mr. Fotopoulos was held overnight at the Sharon Police Department on $2,500 bail and arraigned on Aug. 17, 2012 at the Stoughton District Court. He was held by the court and is due back in court on Oct. 12, 2012.
